A single process die means that a die only completes one stamping process, such as only punching or only bending. The mold is simple in structure, easy to manufacture and debug, but the production efficiency is low, and it is suitable for the production of parts with small batches and simple shapes
Composite die refers to a station in a die where two or more stamping processes are completed at the same time. For example, blanking and punching in the same mold at the same time can ensure the high precision of the position of the parts, and the production efficiency is higher than that of the single-process mold, but the mold structure is complex, the manufacturing and maintenance costs are high, and it is often used to produce parts with large batches and high precision requirements, and the combination of drawing dies and other processes is a composite die
Progressive Die is in a pair of molds have a number of stations, each station to complete one or more stamping processes, the material in the mold gradually move, in turn through the various stations, continuous completion of a variety of stamping processes. Advanced die production efficiency is extremely high, suitable for mass production of complex shape, small size parts, but the mold design and manufacturing is complex, high cost. For example, in the production of metal shells for electronic components, continuous dies can continuously complete multiple processes such as punching, bending and blanking.

Stamping and pipe bending are closely related. In the process of pipe fitting machining, stamping can provide pretreatment for pipe fitting bending. For example, the end of the pipe fitting is flattened or flaring by stamping, which provides good basic conditions for subsequent bending. At the same time, the bending of pipe fittings can also be regarded as a special stamping process to a certain extent.
Stamping and sheet metal are closely linked. Stamping is one of the key means of sheet metal processing. The forming of many sheet metal products, such as chassis shells, auto body parts, etc., need to be shaped by stamping processes, such as punching, bending, drawing and other stamping operations can process sheet metal materials into the desired shape. It can be said that stamping and sheet metal are interdependent and jointly used in the manufacture of sheet metal products.
Stamping and CNC machining are closely related. In some parts manufacturing, stamping completes the preliminary shape shaping, such as punching and blanking, and then uses CNC machining for fine trimming and engraving. Moreover, CNC machining can also be used to manufacture stamping dies, improve the accuracy of the dies, and thus improve the quality of stamping products. They work together to broaden the possibilities of metalworking.
